Infant Classroom (6 weeks - 18 months)
Our infant classroom is licensed for 12 infants, ages 6 weeks to 18 months, with 2 or more teachers working with the children throughout the day. The children will follow a teacher created weekly lesson plan, that follows Creative Curriculum. All children will also have monthly goals to help them grow developmentally. The teachers in the classroom will work with each child individually as well as in a group to prepare them for the Toddler 1 classroom.
Toddler 1 Classroom (18 months - 2 1/2 years) & Toddler 2 Classroom (2 - 3 years)
Each of our toddler classrooms has 7 children per teacher in the room. The children in the classrooms follow the same criteria of a weekly lesson plan which is created using Creative Curriculum. Each of the children have monthly goals that the teacher in the room will work with each child to accomplish those goals, which will help them developmentally prepare for the next classroom. The Toddler 2 classroom works with potty training children when the parents are beginning the process at home. When the toddler reaches the age of 3 and is fully potty trained, we begin transitioning the child to the Preschool 1 classroom.
Preschool 1 Classroom (3 - 4 years) Preschool 2 Classroom ( 4 - 5 years)
We have 2 preschool classrooms that work to begin getting children ready to begin Kindergarten. In both classrooms we follow and create weekly lesson plans with Creative Curriculum. Monthly goals are set for each child and they will work to meet their goals so they can continue making goals to prep them to begin Kindergarten. Each of our preschool classrooms has a teacher who has been working with Carol's Corner for over 15 years. Preschool 1 classroom has 12 children enrolled, while there are 14 children enrolled in the Preschool 2 classroom.
School Age Classrooms (Kindergarten & Up) *Second room opens for Summer Session
Throughout the school year we have one classroom open for school agers for before and after school care. During summer break we open a second school age classroom to allow for more enrollment to provide more care for the families in our community. Each of our classrooms still follows the policy of creating weekly lesson plans using Creative Curriculum and alignment tools. All children during the school year will have the opportunity each day after school to complete their school work. The classrooms help each child throughout the week to work on areas of learning that they need more assistance with. Our school age classrooms have children enrolled from Kindergarten until age 12 (just before their 13th birthday).
